Strategy Development
Strategy development projects are “one-off” projects—each engagement is unique in terms of its issues and objectives. However, we can categorize these in a few buckets:
Business Planning
In these types of engagements, we will work with a client through a vision setting process. From that, we will create a strategy and an operational plan. We often include a “communication” element to the project, to ensure that every employee understands the strategy and operational plan (see Messaging & Communications).
Customer Journey (Sales Cycle)
In these types of projects, we typically evaluate the effectiveness of the customer journey and recommend opportunities for improvement. We document the steps in a typical journey, and how an organization comes together to deliver that customer experience via marketing, sales, and service/support. A project will typically involve some primary research, giving us the opportunity to solicit customers’ perspective on their unique experience.
Acquisition & Integration of New Businesses
We often work with clients once they have made a decision to acquire a new company, and require assistance with the post-merger integration. In these kind of engagements, our role includes ensuring the senior teams are aligned on the merged entity’s goals and strategy and that the underlying organization comes together effectively in executing these new goals.
